All Final Smashes that transform characters into a controllable version of themselves can now be injured.Projectiles now become slower and lose strength if spammed.All previous Echo Fighters are now standalone fighters, with greater moveset differences. This mode was created with competitive Super Smash Bros. tournaments in mind, allowing them access to all of the game’s content whilst also preventing players from unlocking everything off the bat. Items cannot be used, the settings are set to 4 Stocks and 7 minutes, you can have no more than four players at a time and you cannot have CPU players. However, it only has “tournament legal” stages (though it has all Alpha and Omega variations of every stage), with each stage being limited to one music track. Competitive Smash is a new mode that features every character and every costume immediately.Final Smashes and O-Smashes are now activated by simultaneously pressing the L and R button, as opposed to previous games in which Final Smashes replaced Neutral Specials.All Obliterator Smashes have a small hitbox in front of the caster, which puts opponents into the aforementioned cutscene.Final Smashes no longer go away after a few seconds if acquired through filling up one's FS Meter.Characters with O-Smashes have glowing blue eyes and are constantly pulsing with white electricity. Characters with Final Smashes retain the rainbow aura and yellow eyes from previous games.Acquiring a Final Smash no longer makes the background turn dark.
Obliterator Smashes can be acquired by breaking two Smash Balls or by filling up one’s FS Meter twice, without using the Final Smash.
This decision was made when one of ShadeTheNarwhal's friends complained about the overabundant number of cutscene-based Final Smashes in Super Smash Bros. O-Smashes are always cutscene-based, whereas Final Smashes are now never cutscene-based. The Final Smash functions the same as it did in previous games, with the O-Smash being different and instantly killing any targets above 50%.

Its sole purpose was to be the greatest, most expansive and strangest crossover on Fantendo, as well as to reach the Top 20 longest pages. This article is not meant to be taken 100% seriously. This is the first game in the series to feature non-video game characters, at the request of the new co-director. SSBQ does the same, despite series director Masahiro Sakurai originally believing that it was impossible. Ultimate, the previous game in the series, brought back every previously playable character. It is the sixth installment in the series and was directed by Masahiro Sakurai and ShadeTheNarwhal.
